Alexander Scardavian earned his reputation as an improvisational guitarist under Paul Chain’s tutelage throughout the ‘90s. Beginning on “Whited Sepulchres” LP then continuing with multiple studio and live appearances, he launched his first solo album, “Strange Here” in 2002. Battling personal demons, years passed as a musical recluse before he eventually returned with Domenico Lotito and the duo crafted a heavy album the only way they knew how. Recorded in a day and largely in first takes, it oozes energy. Gruff vocals, heavy riffs and wild solos scream Italian Doom. Still largely unknown, this body of work should appeal to those prepared to dig deeper…
